Introduction
Bachelor of Information Technology Management (BITM) at Tribhuvan University is a four-year (8-semesters) undergraduate (Bachelor’s) program under the Faculty of Management (FoM) designed to develop skilled IT professionals along with strong analytical, managerial, and entrepreneurial abilities.
FOM focuses on developing affordable, socially relevant, technology-driven educational programs in Nepal.

Eligibility
You must fulfill some minimum criteria set by the Faculty of Management(FoM), TU to enroll in this course. Some BITM eligibility criteria are:
- Attend and pass the BITM Entrance Exam (CMAT) conducted by FoM.
- Grade 12 (any faculty) with:
- Minimum D+ grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.80 .
- Second Division (40-60%) for non-grading system.
- Similar requirements a for PCL or Diploma students.
- A-Level:
- with Minimum E grade
Shortlisted candidates (based on CMAT score) will be interviewed for final selection by college you have selected.
Overview
BITM combines both IT skills and business management. You’ll learn both the tech side (like software engineering, data structures, and systems) and the management side (like project management, strategic planning, and leadership). It’s a breed of IT and management, designed to bridge the gap between technical skills and business insight.

Fees
BITM college fees range between Rs. 3.2 lakhs to 10 lakhs. BITM Government colleges have fixed and more affordable fees, usually under Rs. 3.5 lakhs. Private college fees are negotiable and vary depending on factors such as the student’s connections, communication (negotiation) skills, grades, etc.
A fee range of Rs. 3–5 lakhs is considered competitive among most colleges for BITM.
